Hit Parade: Canchola Gets Cycle
Saturday, June 3rd , 2028
Andy Canchola was jubilant as the Alexandria Aces left the field with a 6-5 win over the Midland RockHounds today. He had every right to be.

The 26-year-old right fielder hit for the cycle at Security Bank Ballpark, had a 4-for-6 game and chalked up 1 RBI and 2 runs to boot.

"It's too bad I can't do that every day," Canchola said with a smile to reporters after the game. "It would do wonders for my batting average."

Alexandria manager Eric Cartwright was "proud" of the right fielder's feat, but was not expecting it to happen.

"Cycles are tough because triples are tough," the skipper said. "As soon as the ball left the bat on that triple, guys were jumping off the bench for him. Honestly, I wasn't sure he was going to be able to leg it out."

Andy Canchola tripled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jordan Pasos in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, flied out in the 9th and singled in the 12th.

In 2028 Canchola has hit at a .275 clip with 60 hits, 13 home runs, 51 RBIs and has scored 29 times.
