April's Premier Pitcher Announced by ECL Wednesday, May 1st , 2052 Hipolito Vázquez really put his best foot forward in April with 4 wins and no losses and walked off with the Pitcher of the Month honors in the East Coast League. When he got the start for the Florida Fire Frogs, it was good news for his club, but bad news for the opposition. In 27.1 innings of work, Vázquez limited opposing batters to 26 base hits and a .260 batting average. He notched 25 strikeouts, issued 13 walks and had a 1.65 ERA. |
