ECL's Best Player, Myers of Salem Monday, May 21st , 2040 A hot-hitting week got Knut Myers the East Coast League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Salem second baseman slammed them for a .667 average, 16 hits in 24 at-bats, 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 11 runs. In the postgame press conference, Myers shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." This year Myers is hitting .356 with 3 home runs and 13 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .394 clip and scored 13 runs. |
