5-Hit Barrage by González Wednesday, June 5th , 2052 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Virginia Beach's Devern González made it happen today against the Blue Jays. Everything came together at the plate for the 24-year-old right fielder as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Mariners to a 11-8 win at Virginia Beach Ballpark. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," González said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Devern González singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
