Stompers Carter Stuckey Down and Out for Year
Friday, June 14th , 2052
The doctors have spoken and Carter Stuckey of the Sonoma Stompers didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Stuckey sustained his season-ending injury during the Riverside Red Wave game yesterday at Bright House Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Sonoma medical staff reported Stuckey had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months.

In 13 starts this season Stuckey has chalked up a 3-4 record and a 5.69 ERA.
