Wednesday, July 25th , 2068
In a powerful performance that left the fans at Grainger Stadium buzzing, San Bernardino Stampede shortstop Jason Howitt blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 9-0, over the Martinez Clippers.
"Everything was clicking," Howitt told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Howitt shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Stampede manager Troy Bennett said. "Jason played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Jason Howitt hit a two-run home run off Isaac Book in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Blake Holder in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Francesc Melendez in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and flied out in the 7th.
This year, Howitt has socked 56 hits in 205 at-bats for a .273 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .355 pace and his totals also include 27 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
