Hits Galore: Day Drills 5 Hits Sunday, July 9th , 2051 It was high-fives all around for Johnny Day at Joker Marchant Stadium today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Lakeland Flying Tigers. Day smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 15-1 win. "Johnny was hitting everything," said Keys manager Omar Leon. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Flying Tigers manager Jake Bradford told BNN beat writers that Day "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Day oversleeps next time." Johnny Day hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
