Miró Martín Injured, Out for Year
Monday, August 28th , 2051
The doctors have spoken and Miró Martín of the Temecula Udder Tuggers didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Martín sustained his season-ending injury during the San Bernardino Stampede game yesterday at Grainger Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Temecula medical staff reported Martín had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months.

Martín has taken the mound for 27 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 4-6 record with a 7.60 ERA. The Temecula reliever has limited opposing batters to a .288 batting average.
