Playoffs Won't Happen for Blaze Monday, August 27th , 2057 When a team loses its shot at a A+ Championship Series championship, it's "the worst day of the year," said Bakersfield Blaze manager Brian O'Kray. That day has now come for Bakersfield, as they were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. Before this season, the Blaze had made the playoffs 2 times in a row. In the 54 years they have been a Single A Advanced franchise, they have missed the playoffs 37 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Blaze have made the playoffs 8 times. Bakersfield last won the A+ Championship Series in 2037. |
