League Suspends Sod Poodles Tlaseca 2 Games
Saturday, May 4th , 2052
Ames Sod Poodles first baseman Neal Tlaseca received a 2-game suspension from the league office after he was ejected from a game with the Lake County Captains recently.

"I knew I probably was going to be suspended," said Tlaseca. "We just didn't know how many games. I ain't really surprised about the suspension. What I did was wrong. You never get into it with an umpire like that. Something bad is going to happen, probably a suspension. I just hate it had to come to that."

Tlaseca was ejected when he complained bitterly about a called third strike. Tlaseca was called out by the home plate umpire. He immediately spun around and stared at the ump and then used both hands to throw his helmet to the ground. At that point, Tlaseca was ejected. By that time his third base coach and manager had gotten between the pair. Then Tlaseca climbed on the back of his coach trying to reach the umpire. After tussling with him, both men got the irate player calmed down and under control and got him to go back to the dugout and to leave the premises.

This year Tlaseca is hitting .195, produced 12 RBIs and 1 home runs, scored 6 times and gotten on base at a .305 rate.
