League Suspends Saunders Jr. and Cooper for Brawl Sunday, July 24th , 2050 Bill Saunders Jr. of the Rome Braves and Charlie Cooper of the Bowling Green Hot Rods received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 3 and 7 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at State Mutual Stadium. In his stats this season, Saunders Jr. has posted a batting average of .139 with 5 hits in 36 at-bats, no home runs and 5 RBIs. He has also scored 2 runs, walked 3 times and compiled a .220 OBP.
