Hickory Starting Pitcher Hurt
Saturday, May 2nd , 2065
The Hickory Crawdads learned that Parker Silverstein is likely to be out for 5-6 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Lakewood BlueClaws. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn labrum. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Hickory manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Parker is back in action."
