Goddard Wins SAL Player of the Week Trophy Monday, July 24th , 2051 The premier performer in the South Atlantic League this week was Joey Goddard of the West Virginia Power. The hot-hitting 23-year-old first baseman put up a .458 average and .519 on-base percentage, piling up 11 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. That kind of hitting got him the SAL Player of the Week honors. This year Goddard has collected a .278 batting average to date with 110 hits in 395 at-bats, 31 RBIs, 7 home runs and scored 42 times.
