Nuñez Tags 3 HR Against Captains Sunday, June 28th , 2065 It was a good day for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and an exceptional one for Mateo Nuñez. The 23-year-old catcher sent three bombs out of the park to help the Timber Rattlers beat the Lake County Captains, 10-7, at Neuroscience Feild at Fox Cities Stadium. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Nuñez said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 3 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Mateo Nuñez hit a solo-shot off Anderson Epley in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Anderson Epley in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Rey Lozada in the 7th, struck out in the 9th and walked in the 11th.
