Barrage of Hits Gets Morinaka NYP Award Monday, August 27th , 2068 It was announced today by the New York-Penn League that Brooklyn right fielder Chad Morinaka had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. During his week-long batting binge he reeled off a .536 batting average, 15 hits and 3 home runs. Morinaka also racked up 8 RBIs and scored 8 runs. Morinaka is hitting .364 for the season with 5 home runs, 16 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 36 hits in 99 at-bats and played in 27 games. |
