Cyclones Won't Get Playoff Berth Tuesday, August 17th , 2038 Even the most die-hard fans of the Brooklyn Cyclones will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Cyclones starting pitcher Dominic Karnish. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." The Cyclones have made the playoffs 3 times in their 35 years as a Short Season A - U25 franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 18th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2020. Brooklyn last won the Low A Championship Series in 2019. |
