Divisional Series Goes the Distance, Hamilton Prevails
Thursday, September 23rd , 2066
The fans in Hamilton are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in West Virginia.
The Hamilton Red Wings finished off the West Virginia Black Bears 9-3 in the deciding game of the Divisional Series played at Red Wings Ballpark.
They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the Regional Championship Series.
For his standout play, Hamilton catcher Alfonzo Olivera was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.
He batted .462, drove in 8 runs and scored 4 to lead his club to victory.
"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Olivera and that doomed us," said Black Bears manager Juwan Henry. "Hats off to Hamilton, though. That was a great series."
The Regional Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
