Solano Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Eugene
Wednesday, July 26th , 2051
Madaleno Solano saw his 20-game hitting streak wither and die today during the Boise Hawks win over Eugene at Memorial Stadium. The 23-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 3 at-bats by the Eugene Emeralds, but his teammates produced enough offense to take the game, 6-4.

"Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Solano told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 20 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good."

In his season totals Solano has 1 home run and a .323 batting average.
