Hit Parade: Snead Pops 5 Hits
Monday, August 7th , 2051
Traver Snead knows as well as anyone that in baseball, the biggest contracts go to the biggest hitters. At MCU Park today, he made his case to be considered among that group.

The 21-year-old second baseman hammered 5 hits in 5 chances, though the remarkable effort came even as his Tri-City Dust Devils fell, 7-5, to the Brooklyn Cyclones.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," Cyclones manager Jesse Mullins told BNN sportswriters after the game. "Thankfully, we were able to do enough elsewhere that Snead wasn't the difference."

Traver Snead singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 8th.

This year Snead has collected a .282 batting average to date with 46 hits in 163 at-bats, 14 RBIs, no home runs and scored 26 times. He has played in 41 games.
