Wenatchee-Vermont Fight Results in Suspensions Saturday, August 26th , 2051 After an intense confrontation, both the Chiefs Gabe Coplan and the Lake Monsters Russell Tiger were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Wenatchee-Vermont game. Gabe Coplan will miss 4 games, while Russell Tiger was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Gabe Coplan commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." A look at his current stats shows Coplan with a .333 average, 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has played in 5 games. This year Tiger has worked 69.1 innings with 61 strikeouts en route to a 6-3 record and 3.38 ERA. |
