Lewis Gets 5 Hits
Tuesday, August 30th , 2067
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Luke Lewis is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Staten Island Pizza Rats at The Oil Field. The monster effort from the 20-year-old shortstop helped the Oil City Oilers get the win, 2-1.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Pizza Rats manager Max Collison. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Luke Lewis singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Rubio Wheat in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
This year, Lewis is batting .287 with 8 home runs.
