Jacob Shanley Named NYP's Best Player
Sunday, October 9th , 2039
The manager of the Aberdeen Ironbirds said he thinks Jacob Shanley is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 22, but it will be hard to top the right fielder's 2039 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the New York-Penn League Most Valuable Player.

His winning campaign featured a .343 batting average and a .414 on-base percentage this year. In 45 games he piled up 59 hits, 5 doubles, no triples, 33 home runs, 72 RBIs and 45 runs scored.

He received 36 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jimmy Dean of the Jamestown Jammers finished second in voting, while Rylan McGuire of the Jamestown Jammers finished third.
