Roberts's Season Could be Over Saturday, July 30th , 2050 When Kinston reliever Marty Roberts was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Indians-Diamond Dogs game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Roberts had sustained a torn rotator cuff and will be out for about 13 months. Thus far this season Roberts has compiled a 1-2 record, made no relief appearances with no saves, hurling 31.1 innings and striking out 27. He has held the opposition to a .279 batting average with a 4.31 ERA. |
