APP Star of the Week Chosen Monday, August 25th , 2036 A hot-hitting week got Jack Hillen the Appalachian League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Pulaski shortstop slammed them for a .385 average, 10 hits in 26 at-bats, 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 6 runs. In the postgame press conference, Hillen shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." So far this year Hillen is batting .268 with 10 home runs. |
