APP's Best Hurler is Braun Wednesday, October 11th , 2034 The Appalachian League made the official announcement today. The 2034 Appalachian League Pitcher of the Year Award has gone to Fulton Braun of River City. He had a superlative season, chalking up a 7-1 won-lost mark with an impressive 1.64 ERA. Braun logged 14 starts, threw 77 innings, yielded 47 hits, struck out 123 and held the opposition to a .169 batting average. He received 35 first place votes out of a possible 36. Damian Orsburn of the Erwin Mountaineers finished second in voting, while Grits Bishop of the Bristol Pirates finished third.
