Idaho Falls Takes League Championship Series in Deciding Game
Sunday, September 21st , 2036
The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat were on full display tonight at Ballpark of Cheyenne as the League Championship Series stretched to the final game.

It was the Idaho Falls Chukars feeling the thrill of victory, with a 2-0 win over the Cheyenne Chiefs, who were feeling the devastation of coming up short in their quest to make the Advanced Rookie Championship Series.

"There's no way around it -- this sucks," said Cheyenne manager Juan Carrillo. "Congratulations to Idaho Falls, but I won't sugarcoat it, no one is happy about anything that transpired here tonight."

Instrumental in the 4-3 series win was first baseman Bentley Peacock, who was named MVP. He hit .357 with a .438 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.

"We've got the most important stat of all and that's this final win -- that's the one that matters," he said.

The Idaho Falls Chukars will play against the River City Rumblers in the next round. River City won their series against the Erwin Mountaineers 4 games to 0. The Advanced Rookie Championship Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
