Zavier Rivers Bashes Three over the Wall Wednesday, September 7th , 2050 Great Falls right fielder Zavier Rivers blasted three homers today at Centene Stadium in the 9-4 Voyagers victory over the Missoula Osprey. For the game, Zavier Rivers scored 3 times and knocked in 6 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Rivers when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-3, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Rivers told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Zavier Rivers hit a solo-shot off Lydon Allen in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Landon Dunbar in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Benjamin Lerdu in the 8th. To date Rivers has chalked up a .282 average with 28 home runs, driven in 66 runs and scored 53 times. |
