Emanuel Bohm Injured, Out for Year Saturday, August 7th , 2038 Watching Emanuel Bohm getting helped off the field today at Ballpark of River City, fans of the Blue Ridge Bulldogs feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the reliever will miss 10-11 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Bohm suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Rumblers. This year Bohm has made 15 relief appearances with no saves. In 28.1 innings, he has fanned 26 hitters and recorded 2 wins and 2 losses with a 4.76 ERA. |
