Chiefs Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, September 2nd , 2038 Members of the Cheyenne Chiefs are left wondering what could have been today, as the team has been eliminated from postseason contention. "You look back at a handful of games that easily could have gone the other way for us," said right fielder Jimeno Palacios. "We really think we were good enough to get to the playoffs this year, so it stings." The Chiefs have missed the playoffs 29 times in their 35 years as a Rookie Advanced - U24 franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2036. In the last 10 seasons, the Chiefs have missed the playoffs 7 times. Cheyenne last won the Advanced Rookie Championship Series in 2025. |
