Casper's Blackstone Bags PIO Top Batter for August Saturday, September 1st , 2035 Miles Blackstone put together a good August to earn the Pioneer League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Casper officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Ghosts second baseman posted a .379 batting average with 9 home runs, 19 RBIs and 30 runs scored. For the season Blackstone is batting .304 with 70 hits and 17 home runs. He has scored 51 times and batted in 39. |
