Kern Slams 3 Deep for Moose Jaw Tuesday, September 4th , 2035 Moose Jaw catcher Carson Kern blasted three homers today at Ballpark of Portsmouth in the 10-5 Diamond Dogs victory over the Rocky Mountain Vibes. For the game, Carson Kern scored 3 times and knocked in 7 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Kern when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-5, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Kern told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Carson Kern hit a three-run home run off Jason Ratteree in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jason Ratteree in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Aitor Alonzo in the 9th.
