Cannons Cruise to League Championship Series with Sweep Monday, September 10th , 2035 The Calgary Cannons proved to be too much to handle for the Casper Ghosts in the Wild Card Series, and a sweep was the end result. Calgary punched its ticket to the League Championship Series on the strength of a 3-2 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 3-0. Calgary catcher D.J. Sedberry, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Casper pitching to the tune of a .286 average, with a .286 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Calgary Cannons don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Medicine Hat Stampede - Ogden Raptors series. Ogden leads the series 2 games to 1.
