Rocky Mountain left fielder Thom Pope thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Rocky Mountain to a 15-4 win over Ogden. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Pope said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Pope was 3-for-4 on the day with 4 RBI. Thom Pope hit a solo-shot off Jack Akin in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Joe Baurle in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Cameron Manwarren in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. For the year Pope has hit at a .216 clip with 19 RBIs, 9 home runs and 16 runs scored. |
