Kingrey Sizzles -- Smokes Osprey for 5 Hits Thursday, September 8th , 2067 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Victor Kingrey of the Calgary Cannons had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 16-3 win over the Missoula Osprey at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 20-year-old shortstop told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Victor Kingrey tripled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. For the season, Kingrey has hit .306 with 9 home runs and 46 RBIs. He has played in 63 games and scored 42 times. View Boxscore |
