Byler, Nore Suspended for Fracas Sunday, July 14th , 2030 Yesterday at Capitals Ballpark Paul Byler and Chance Nore got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Mesa Saguaros and Peoria Pride. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Byler will have to sit out 4 while Nore would be given a 8-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. Nore has pitched 13.2 innings and molded a 5.27 ERA with no saves. He has surrendered 9 hits while registering 8 strikeouts on his way to a 0-0 record for the Pride this year. |
