Ranshaw Whitewashes Hollywood Tuesday, September 5th , 2034 In an outstanding mound performance, Gainesville Hogs starter C.J. Ranshaw fired a complete-game shutout against the Hollywood Spoonbills at Hammond Stadium today. Ranshaw was the key to the Hogs's 6-0 win. The 18-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 3 hits and 2 walks he allowed. "3 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." This year Ranshaw has worked 62 innings with 37 strikeouts en route to a 4-7 record and a 4.35 ERA. View Boxscore |
