Vorhees 5-for-6 for Catch Tuesday, July 1st , 2031 It was high-fives all around for August Vorhees at JetBlue Park today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Fort Myers Flamingos. Vorhees smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 22-14 win. "August was hitting everything," said Catch manager Luis Mendoza. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Flamingos manager Juan Zavala told BNN beat writers that Vorhees "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Vorhees oversleeps next time." August Vorhees hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Chris Baker in the 8th.
