AZL Player of the Week Awarded Monday, August 7th , 2045 Sierra Vista Hummingbirds center fielder River Grote had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Arizona Rookie League named him Player of the Week. Grote banged out 10 hits in 22 at-bats on the way to a .455 batting average. He also racked up 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 10 runs scored. This season Grote has hit 9 home runs and posted a .359 batting average. |
