Olmecas, Rieleros Close Deal Friday, August 3rd, 2007 It took some time to iron out the details, but the Olmecas and Rieleros have agreed to a swap. Aguascalientes will get 37-year-old RHP Phil White with Tabasco receiving 28-year-old LF Chris Watson in return. A source close to the trade talks said the two clubs were initially looking to make a bigger deal, but discussions broke off late last night. The two sides reconvened early today and eventually settled on this deal. For the year White has made 28 relief appearances with 17 saves. He has also fashioned a 5-1 won-lost mark with a 3.42 ERA. In 50 innings he has fanned 38. Watson is currently hitting at a .288 pace with 4 home runs and 41 RBIs. |
