Leones Lose Flugence for Season Thursday, August 23rd, 2007 The season is finished for Jamir Flugence of the Yucatan Leones. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Leones starting pitcher suffered a torn labrum while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Mexico City Conquistadores. Team doctors said it would take at least 5 months to heal. This year Flugence has a 9-8 record and a 3.44 ERA. |
