Hitting Streak Still Alive for Puente Wednesday, August 29th, 2007 The hitting streak for Carmen left fielder Luis Puente now stands at 20 games, but the Delfines dropped today's contest 11-1 to the Guadalajara Chupacabras. Puente went 1-for-4 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 1 hit and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Luis Puente grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This year Puente has hit at a .303 pace and produced 54 RBIs, 12 home runs and scored 57 runs. |
