Acereros, Meeks Blank Saltillo Saturday, September 8th, 2007 Mike Meeks of the Monclova Acereros whitewashed the Saltillo Saraperos 6-0 in a complete-game win, limiting them to 4 hits while chalking up 8 strikeouts and giving up 1 walk. "He's got the makeup. He's not afraid to challenge guys," Monclova manager Juan Ortega said to BNN reporters after the game. "Mike is poised out there. He knows how to pitch and how to use his stuff." On the season Meeks has compiled a 9-8 mark with a 3.44 ERA in 18 starts.
