Orellana Hits in 20 Straight Games Sunday, September 9th, 2007 Tabasco first baseman Rogelio Orellana keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit at Ballpark of Tabasco today. The Olmecas took the 6-2 victory over the Quintana Roo Tigres. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Orellana said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Rogelio Orellana was hit by a pitch in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Orellana is hitting at a .284 mark this season. His stats show 12 home runs, 75 RBIs and 69 runs scored. He has played 116 games for the Olmecas. |
