Beers were flowing freely, champagne was being sprayed and loud music blared as players and coaches alike celebrated the accomplishment. "It's not often you get to kick back and let loose with your teammates," said starting pitcher Chris Nemeth. "We're earned the right to party a little bit. And then we can focus on getting it done in the playoffs." Team manager Ismael Escalona said even the coaching staff can enjoy occasions like this. "I'm proud of my guys, they deserve this," he said. It's the 1st division championship for the team and they will be seeking their 2nd Liga Mexicana de Beisbol championship. |
