The Bullhead City Catfish defeated the Yuma Gnomes, 5-4, in Arizona Rookie League action at Scottsdale Stadium. Bullhead City pitcher Matt Schultheis Jr. had a standout performance. Dane Schoch claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 2-0. The victory gives Bullhead City a record of 20-12.

Bullhead City got a knockout punch from Peyton Kempa. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"The crowd was juiced," said Kempa.
