Hurricanes Show Moxy in 3-2 Win
The bats were silent much of the day at Osceola County Stadium. But Drew Walter conjured up just enough offense to carry the Hurricanes past the Gilbert Geckos, 3-2. Walter went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The winner in relief was Dylan Johnston. He is now 2-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. Daytona Beach is now 8-11.

In the bottom of the 11th, with the score tied, Walter hammered a solo home run to win it for Daytona Beach.

Walter called the extra-inning win a "confidence builder."
