Adrià Gutierres pitched a gem to lead Yuma to victory over the Sedona Steers, 4-1. The Gnomes raised their record to 17-23.

Edgar Escutia had a big 2-run home run for the Gnomes in the bottom of the third inning. With Yuma leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a splitter from Doug Tubbs, who is tied for 5th in the AZL in innings pitched with 54.0, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Gnomes ahead, 4-0.

"Adrià just settled in and did what he does," said Yuma manager Ryan Guardado.
