Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Gnomes
The Yuma Gnomes took Buckeye pitcher Brad Fisher's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Tempe Diablo Stadium. The final score had Yuma getting past the Quahogs, 3-2. Fisher went 6 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 4. The winner was Yuma reliever Tony Wilson, now 1-2. The loser was Jared Sturgeon. With the win, the Gnomes improved to 8-12.

Yuma won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Jared Sturgeon on the mound for Buckeye, left fielder Sheldon Bambridge hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Gnomes fans to their feet.

Bambridge said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
