Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Glendale Gauchos and Peoria Pride.

The Glendale Gauchos picked up a win at Camelback Ranch, downing the Peoria Pride, 5-4. On the mound for Glendale was right-hander Todd Johnson, who played a pivotal role in the win. Jaden Harris nailed down his 1st save.

Pablo Mattaos had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It helped send Glendale to the win.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Mattaos told the Glendale Today. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."

The Gauchos raised their record to 24-22.
