Hollywood Wins, Sexton slugs 2 home runs
The Hollywood Spoonbills defeated the Ahwatukee Roughnecks, 11-6, at Roughnecks Ballpark. Hollywood right fielder Kirk Sexton had a superb performance. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Hollywood pitcher Henry Ivy got the win, upping his record to 3-1. Joaquin Sanjurjo got the loss. The Roughnecks, now 10-13, have lost 5 straight.

Hollywood used the timely hitting of Kerry Nazmizan to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Spoonbills ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

Sexton told the Hollywood Daily: "Don't care what other people think. Kirk knows who Kirk is."
